Omega Construction has been selected to construct a 93,250 sf expansion for Unifi Inc.’s Repreve Recycle and specialty polyester spinning facility. The project is currently under construction and is located adjacent to the Unifi T-5 and Spinning plant facility in Yadkinville, NC. The project is being constructed under a Design/Build project delivery method with Thomas Hughes Architecture providing Architectural Design services. Omega Construction personnel have been involved with Unifi, Inc for the development of the entire Unifi T-5 and Spinning plant facilities.
The buildings consist of conventional structural steel framing systems with membrane roofing systems. Exterior walls are combination of precast concrete wall panels and insulated metal wall panel system. Floors are reinforced concrete slabs, and composite concrete slabs for upper floors, with metallic floor hardener throughout.
