Sq. Footage: 850,000 SF
Description
This project was an 850,000 SF upfit for an automated distribution center. John S. Clark Company started with a shell building and installed floor hardener to the existing floors, painted the roof deck, and installed lighting and computer controlled heating and air conditioning for the entire existing facility. We re-worked 3 existing electrical service switch gears, upgraded and installed generators to backup switch gears, and installed 4 new electrical services to handle all automated equipment. A 110,000 SF mezzanine was installed for conveyor equipment. The steel structure around the mezzanine was reinforced to carry conveyor loads from the existing roof steel. Construction of a 2 story 42,000 SF new office and support function space was included in the existing building, a new compressor room, and a pallet storage room on the outside of the existing facility. The existing dock area was reconfigured to incorporate 500 new parking spaces and a landscaped employee entrance. To complete the project an exterior patio/break area was added to the front of the building.
