PVH Distribution Center

Jonesville. NC

This project was an 850,000-square-foot upfit for an automated distribution center. The scope of the project included installing floor hardener to the existing floors, painting the roof deck, lighting and computer-controlled heating and air conditioning for the entire existing facility, reworking three existing electrical service switch gears, upgrading and installing generators to backup switch gears, and installing four new electrical services to handle all automated equipment. A 110,000-square-foot mezzanine was installed for conveyor equipment. The steel structure around the mezzanine was reinforced to carry conveyor loads from the existing roof steel. Construction of a two-story 42,000 square foot new office and support function space was included in the existing building and a new compressor room and pallet storage room on the outside of the existing facility. The existing dock area was reconfigured to incorporate 500 new parking spaces and a landscaped employee entrance. To complete the project, an exterior patio and break area were added to the front of the building.
