OMEGA CONSTRUCTION BEGINS WORK ON DEL WEBB SALES CENTER AT HEARTWOOD

SAVANNAH, Ga. (September 5th, 2024) – Omega Construction’s Savannah Division has commenced work on new entry features at Heartwood, situated at the corner of Great Ogeechee Parkway and Belfast Keller Road, east of I-95 at Richmond Hill’s Exit 82 interchange.

The project includes new entry signage, a guard house, and a sales center for Heartwood Senior Living, a future Del Webb community. The two-story sales center will be located near Heartwood’s Outfitters Amenity Center, which Omega Construction completed in 2022, and will feature a design center, private offices, and conference rooms.

The aesthetic design of the new guard house and sales center will complement the Modern Lowcountry architecture of the existing Outfitters and Amenity buildings in the first phase of the Heartwood community, blending seamlessly with the lush surrounding forest. The entry signage will also integrate with the natural beauty and design of the community. Positioned to the west of the entry guard house, the entry signage installation will feature a series of 20-foot steel-framed rectangular follies, clad in weathered steel panels spelling the Del Webb logo. The structures, poised on invisible concrete footings within a serene pond, create a blend of modern design and organic elements. Details like the unique entry signage concept are a testament to Heartwood’s commitment to exceptional design and thoughtful integration with the natural environment.

Omega’s portfolio includes many notable mixed-use developments across the Southeast, including Outfitters Heartwood Amenity for Rayonier and the Latitude Margaritaville Town Center in Hardeeville, S.C. and Omega’s Savannah Division Vice President, Todd Mayo, expressed his excitement about the project, saying:

“We’re thrilled to continue our partnership with Heartwood and Del Webb by bringing this next development phase to life. The new sales center and entry features are designed to not only serve the community’s needs but also enhance the aesthetic of the entire area, reflecting the unique character of the Heartwood community.”

As this phase of the project commences, Omega is working closely with LS3P on the amenity phase of construction which is currently in the final stages of design. It will include the full site development of a large amenity building, featuring an indoor fitness center, indoor pool/spa, and a community room with a catering kitchen for residents to enjoy. The site will also boast a resort-style outdoor pool with cabanas and gaming areas, alongside a newly developed pond and boathouse. Additional amenities include bocce ball courts, pickleball courts, and tennis courts, all designed to enhance the community’s recreational experience. This phase of the project is set to begin in later 2025’.

Additional partners on the project include PulteGroup, LS3P, Thomas & Hutton, EM Structural Engineering, and Jordan & Skala Engineers.
