A Clemmons company known as an industry leader in the manufacture of seals and O-rings is moving to Winston-Salem.
J Royal Seals & Engineered Products is moving to 2441 Salem Park Drive, which is part of Salem Industrial Park. A building permit for $2,259,647 was issued earlier this month to Omega Construction Co. of Pilot Mountain for the work.
J Royal is presently headquartered at 3720 Stanford Way, Clemmons.
Barry Hennings, president of Omega Construction, said the new building will measure about 30,000 square feet. He said it will be a pre-engineered metal building. Grading on the site has begun, Hennings said, and the project is scheduled to be completed by May 1.
According to the company’s website, J Royal was founded in 1952 and is a leader in the production of seals, O-rings, engineered plastics, precision products and custom-molded rubber. In addition to its corporate headquarters in Clemmons, J Royal has another office in Tallassee, Ala.
Brittany Beck, a customer service and inside sales representative with J Royal, said the company’s parent company is Hercules Fluid Power Group of Clearwater, Fla. She said the company has outgrown its space in Clemmons, which has necessitated the move to a larger building.
