Omega Construction Awarded the Highly Anticipated Latitude Margaritaville Amenities Project in Hardeeville, SC

HARDEEVILLE, SC, November 8, 2018, 2018—Omega Construction will oversee the construction of the amenities project in Hardeeville, SC which will complement the Key West-inspired community of homes. Minto Communities has established themselves as full community developers and has selected Omega Construction, a local contractor with its own extensive resume, as the General Contractor for the project. The Winston-Salem, NC based Omega opened its Georgia branch four years ago and started to expand its management team earlier this year when Todd Mayo joined Omega as its Georgia Division Manager.

The Hardeeville location is situated so that Latitude residents are also close to Hilton Head Island, Bluffton and Savannah, but the amenities center will have all the comforts anyone could need without having to leave home. Omega Construction will build the Fins Up Fitness Center, the Bar & Chill Restaurant, a beach-like zero-entry pool, and sports courts for the Latitude residents.
Following the design laid out by the teams at Thomas & Hutton, Architecture Plus International, The McBride Company and Simply Verde, Omega began construction at the end of October 2018. The intricate details throughout the design will require the Omega Construction team to call on their experience from their retail, hospitality and commercial portfolios for this project.
The Fins Up Fitness Center will feature an indoor lap pool and hot tub, massage room, a large open space to accommodate free weights and machines, two studios for classes, and men’s and women’s locker rooms with shower stalls and saunas.
Omega Construction has extensive experience in the hospitality industry and restaurants, which will be beneficial as The Bar & Chill spares no detail! It boasts seven different floor types, four wall types and three different stones incorporated into the design. With varied areas from the bar to the separated dining rooms, you will find specifics that enhance each space from lighting to ceiling fans. The Bar & Chill will be able to host over 300 guests.
The technicalities of the stone work surrounding the outdoor space will add to the complexity of the project and the beautiful aesthetics of the finished product. The hardscapes will lead guests to the zero-entry pool and sports court comprised of multiple tennis, pickle ball, basketball and bocce ball courts.
The magnitude of this development is extensive, and Omega Construction is utilizing local relationships and vast resources to ensure that each facet of the build has great care paid to it.
Working in concert with a highly qualified subcontractor team, Omega Construction anticipates the project completion in roughly one year from the start date.
