MAP International
Brunswick, GA
The project connected the new facility with the existing distribution center for seamless foot and equipment traffic between buildings using two bridge connectors. The construction featured 9.25” tilt panels with sandwiched rigid insulation to better control the climate for the storage of sensitive medicines and healthcare products. Additionally, conventional steel framing with bar joist/joist girder roof framing and metal roof decking with a 60-Mil TPO membrane roofing system were utilized, ensuring structural integrity and energy efficiency.
The expansion significantly boosts MAP International’s capacity to store and distribute medical supplies globally, directly supporting their mission of aiding the most vulnerable communities. Since 1954, MAP International has profoundly impacted global health, and this new facility enhances their ability to continue this important work. Omega Construction’s involvement underscores its dedication to supporting humanitarian efforts through high-quality, reliable construction services.
