InLight Hicks Transload Logistics Center

Savannah, GA

InLight Hicks Transload Logistics Center is a 136,240-square-foot facility. The 60-acre site, located less than five miles from the Georgia Port Authority’s Garden City marine terminal, provides access to the seaport and other major supply-chain hubs in this highly sought-after industrial area. Transload facilities are designed to process high volumes and facilitate more trucks. Positioning the building for efficient site flow while maximizing trailer parks and container stacks enhances the fluidity of facility operations. The project’s incorporation of 1,200,000 square feet of exterior concrete and asphalt paving was a significant component of the project as was tilt wall construction and a TPO roofing system. An office and a stand-alone trucker lounge were also included in the project. The efficient footprint and building depths contribute significantly to economies of scale by providing operational flexibility that is expected from a modern logistics service provider. Omega Construction is excited to contribute to this progress in the Savannah industrial market.
