At Omega Construction we are committed to being vigilant and taking the additional precautions necessary to protect our employees, customers, subcontractors and the public. In response to COVID-19, Omega Construction, Inc. is implementing the following operating procedures:

Memorandum to Office Staff regarding Coronavirus (COVID-19)

  1. Employees are to monitor local information about COVID-19 and to comply with any government-mandated protective measures. Please monitor and follow information posted at www.omegaconstruction.com.
  2. Employees are to know and recognize the symptoms for COVID-19. Symptoms may appear 2-14 days after exposure:
    fever, cough, shortness of breath
  3. Employees experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms are NOT to report to work. Please follow advice from licensed health care providers (LHCP). Please contact your supervisor or HR as soon as possible. 
  4. Employees experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms are encouraged to use Teledoc which can be found in the App Store on your smart phone under HealthiestYou or seek help at COVID-19 screening sites. 
  5. Employees are to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19 if they suspect possible exposure. 
  6. Employees are to communicate with our clients, subcontractors and vendors about their policies and responses to COVID-19. Communicate with the project management team about any work requirements or restrictions. 
  7. Employees with children out of school or daycare due to COVID-19 are encouraged to work from home. 
  8. Employees should avoid physical contact with others while on the job. Reduce access to confined work areas. Increase physical distance between those on the project when feasible. 
  9. Frequent and thorough handwashing is encouraged. If soap and running water are not immediately available, provide alcohol-based hand rubs containing at least 60% alcohol. 
  10. Employees are to use and encourage respiratory etiquette, including covering coughs and sneezes. 
  11. Employees are to provide work areas with tissues, hand sanitizer and trash receptacles.
  12. Using other employees’ phones, desks, offices or other work tools and equipment is discouraged. 
  13. Employees are to maintain regular housekeeping practices, including routine cleaning and disinfecting of surfaces, equipment and other elements of the work environment. Products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims are expected to be effective against COVID-19 based on data for harder-to-kill viruses. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for use of all cleaning and disinfection products. 
  14. All work-related conferences, tradeshows and events should be canceled until further notice. Non-essential meetings with outside parties either in or out of office are discouraged. If meetings are required, please use Zoom. 
  15. Employees should check their laptop, Sonicwall Global VPN Client and home Wifi connection for preparation operation in case employees are directed to work from home.
