Israel-based Caesarstone’s first manufacturing facility in the United States was constructed on a 45-acre greenfield site. Omega’s involvement began during the site selection process utilizing a design-build delivery method. Significant coordination with process equipment layout and installation was required as well as assistance with site acquisition negotiations, civil and building design, site work, building construction, utility systems installation, process equipment foundation construction, and technical procurement assistance. The building has conventional steel framing with joist and joist girder roof framing, and a metal deck with a TPO membrane roofing system. The exterior walls are a combination of precast concrete and insulated metal wall panels. The building was 292,000 square feet including a 70,000-square-foot warehouse and 15,000-square-foot office.
