Charlotte, NC – The Associated Builders and Contractors of the Carolinas(ABC) announced the recipients of the construction industry’s premier awards, the Excellence In Construction (EIC) Awards, at the 15th annual EIC banquet at the Hilton Hotel in Charlotte, NC.
Omega Construction of Pilot Mountain, NC received the Award of Merit for the expansion of Millennium Charter Academy in Mt. Airy, NC, as well as Honorable Mention for HanesTowne Village off Stratford Road in Winston-Salem.
“I am amazed by the scope and quality of the Excellence in Construction projects, from manufacturing plants and museums to churches and schools,” said Doug Carlson, ABC President & CEO. “EIC winners overcame challenges including inclement weather, site constraints and compressed schedules. They built the projects on time and on budget, and they kept their people and the public safe. That’s how ABC members build the Carolinas.”
The EIC Awards program is the industry’s leading competition, developed to honor both general and specialty contractors for innovative and high-quality merit shop construction projects. These awards honor all construction team members, including the contractor, owner, architect and engineer.
