East Bend Town Square
East Bend, NC
Omega’s Triad Division was excited to partner with the Town of East Bend on the town square park project in Yadkin County. The team collaboration with the East Bend Town Board and the East Bend Park Committee helped obtain one of 100 parks and recreation grants awarded throughout the country. The $100,000 grant was applied to the project costs and provided extended offerings for the community and its residents. The newly established ADA-accessible park boasts a variety of features designed to cater to the needs and interests of the community. These features include green spaces, playgrounds, a 405-square-foot gazebo, a walking path, a 427-square-foot amphitheater, and a 130-square-foot data closet. Also included in this project was a 240-square-foot picnic shelter which is a replica of the original East Bend Drive-In ticket booth, numerous memorial benches and bricks, as well as a much needed and stately foundation for the town’s flag pole. The opening of the long-awaited park was celebrated with a grand opening ceremony complete with ribbon cutting, flag raising, music and free food, a real nod to the power of what can be accomplished when communities come together for a great cause. Omega is so proud to be a part of this initiative for the Town of East Bend in the creation of a space that will benefit the community for years to come.
