This project is Israel-based Caesarstone’s first manufacturing facility in the US, and represents a total investment of $130 million on a 45 acre green field site. Omega’s involvement began during the site selection process. Our scope included assistance with the site acquisition negotiations, civil and building design, sitework, building construction, utility systems installation, process equipment foundation construction, and technical procurement assistance. The project delivery method was design-build, and significant coordination with process equipment layout and installation was required. The Project scope includes rail access, dry bulk material handling, flammable resin storage, complex deep foundation systems, and process water treatment and recycling. The building has conventional steel framing with joist/joist girder roof framing, and metal deck with a TPO membrane roofing system. The exterior walls are a combination of precast concrete and insulated metal wall panels. The project includes 70,000 sf of warehouse and 15,000 sf of office space.
